Neighborhood Watch

The Henrico County Neighborhood Watch program is an invaluable crime fighting partnership program between the county’s citizens and the Division of Police.  The program enlists the active assistance of residents as additional “eyes and ears” in the neighborhood to watch for any suspicious activity and immediately report all crime and suspicious activity to Henrico County police.  The program helps to reduce the fear and incidence of crime, thus making communities safer.  It also increases property value by helping to enforce maintenance codes, reduce blight, heighten security, and increase neighborhood pride.

Our neighbor, Cheryl Rudolph, is leading the process to establish such a program in Church Run and indicates that volunteers will be needed on an on-going basis and “the more the better”.  Please contact Cheryl via email or phone to be a member of this active group.

The Henrico County website has excellent information about the Neighborhood Watch program at Neighborhood Watch. This site includes a resource guide on solving many problems that affect community quality of life and also suggests that citizens should call 911 when an emergency situation presents itself.  If the problem is one that is non-emergency, use the 501-5000 telephone number or the Henrico Police website.

Be safe and keep a look out for our community.
